The body of Christ is commanded to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations and peoples. Sadly, millions have never heard an understandable presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Without calling on the name of Jesus Christ in faith and repentance, all are lost. We must take the saving message of Jesus Christ to all people. Each Christian is responsible for this most important task. A few of us are charged with actually going to the nations, but the rest of us are charged with supporting these missionaries. We support them primarily by prayer, but also monetarily. One of the most effective ways for us to support the spread of the gospel to those who have not heard is through the International Missions Board. The International Missions Board receives approximately half of it’s funding through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Each year at Christmas time, we hold a special Ingathering Offering for the IMB. This year, the offering will take place during the morning service of December 4th. Our goal this year is $1500.
